We are a fast paced, growing manufacturing company looking for an organized entry-level accountant to help in multiple aspects of the business. This position will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of a variety of financial records. The responsibilities of entry-level accountants include maintaining the financial records of the company through analyzing balance sheets and general ledger accounts and preparing required filings.

To be successful as an entry-level accountant, you should be able to work minimum 40 hours per week, have a keen eye for detail, be computer literate and have knowledge of key accounting competencies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintaining records of assets and liabilities
  • Updating accounts payable
  • Assisting in review of balance sheets and income statements
  • Assisting with reviewing income and expenses
  • Preparing regular reports
  • Prepare shipping paperwork
  • Processing receiving paperwork
  • Maintain sales tax certificates
  • Book LTL shipments for outgoing shipments
  • Assisting with other accounting-related duties

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2-year associates degree in accounting
  • Good organizational abilities
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting competencies
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Sage ERP computer software preferred
